Do squirrels have 2 legs or 4 legs?

I have a student who thinks squirrels have 2 legs. I'm trying to explain to her that the front legs count as legs, not arms. Can you help clarify?Do squirrels have 2 legs or 4 legs?
4. When they move they use four....

It is an interesting question because chimps have 2 legs but when they move they use their knuckles...

When the squirrel runs he has his full front digits extended and in contact with the ground...Do squirrels have 2 legs or 4 legs?
well, since they walk on them, they are considered legs. but if you look at the joints, the front ones are elbows, technically making them arms. but normally, we consider appendages that are walked on to be legs. (look at gorillas, though. they often walk on all four, but they have arms)

it just depends on how technical you want to be.

the elephant is the only animal that truly has 4 legs.
You can say ';Sweetie they have 4 legs, now quit being like your mother';.
i am right just so you know. squirrels do have 2 legs and ducks do too. the superstar question is bad
