I think its terrible that everyone wants to kill the grey squirrel. Their still an animal and have every right to live. People should think of other ways to save the red squirrel instead of taking the easy way out and killing them. Its not right. You wouldn't kill a cat when it goes after a mouse so why kill grey squirrels when they do the same thing with red squirrels.
It's ethically dubious killing one species for the sake of another.

Up until the 1970s you could get a licence to kill red squirrels, so they were the baddies then, now it's grey squirrels. Apart from all that it doesn't work. There's absolutely no point in doing it.
Grey squirrels threaten the red squirrels, but whose fauilt is that...us for bringing them here. Killing for sport, killing for protection, food...It's all we know. You didnt state why we would want them culled? I assume it's for the red squirrels sake, if it's because the cuties get in our way, like foxes, elephants then it's very sad.
The country is virtually filled with greys. If you kill them off in a red locality, the greys will recover from outside and we'd be back in the same situation. You would have to repeatedly cull every few years.

Reds might look nice, but greys are better survivors.
Why just the grey ones. What are you, racist?
