Why don't birds and squirrels pick at cars...are they scared?

i work at a place . there's tons of birds. and squirrels. It's kind of a lonely place...not many people. I leave my truck parked right where all the birds are. sure i've seen bird droppings on it. but why don't these creatures pick and destroy my car....if they do pick poke and sit on top of houses and stuff.

Do cars have something birds and squirrels don't like? Why don't birds and squirrels pick at cars...are they scared?
There's nothing to eat. They only pick at something to get food. Why don't birds and squirrels pick at cars...are they scared?
If you could only hear what the birds and squirrels say about that junk truck of yours!

And you do not even want to know what they think about ';smart'; questions you ask here...
Birds usually poop on a car, when there is a cat hiding under it. You can tell who is a cat owner sometimes, just by looknig at the number of white streaks on the car.

I imagnie that birds and squirrels do not pick at your truck because it is mostly made of hard metal and glass parts, and it contains no visible food items or anything within reach that could be used to build a nest.

Birds are not stupid. I've seen them use cars for shade in a parking lot.
yes they move, have a auto sitting for a long time the trunk open and hood just enough for them to enter and you will see they will nest.
I don't think birds are scared of cars. I do think that birds don't like cars, cuz they like to sh!t on them.
smell?

and a little i think it adapted as part of instinct to stay away.
Bite your tongue!! I'm having bird issues here with my truck that's parked out on the drive way.. they DO peck it! and I can't think of anything I can do to keep them away from it! URG!!!!

[breath in... breath out... breath in... breath out.... count to ten....] Ok, I'm good now. lol :)
Because cars and trucks dont look like worms and nuts....lol...no, its for the same reason you don't perch on limbs...its not natural!
Probably because they know that a house remains stationary as opposed to a car that moves and can crush the living feces out of them
Payback is a byotch !!!
No food source. Therefore, no interest.
I don't understand why you expect birds and squirrels to destroy your car? Animals don't tend to destroy anything if it is not bothering them.
They're probably picking for grit on your roof (birds eat teeny tiny pebbles to help them digest their food) as your shingles are covered with grainy little stones. Since your car doesn't have rocks or bugs or anything else of interest, they're not going to pick at it. Just maybe use it as a perch to sit on.
